Assertiveness Skills Training Course UK-wide - Full Day Course
Do you ever come away from a situation where you feel dissatisfied and unheard or alternatively do you sometimes feel you have won at all costs and ‘showed’ the other party? Being assertive is not as easy as it sounds, there is a fine line between being assertive and aggressive. Assertiveness is a way of thinking and behaving that allows a person to stand up for his or her rights whilst respecting the rights of others. This training course is designed to teach delegates how to develop their skills so that they can become more assertive.
Training course style
This is a lively training course which uses a mixture of theory, self-analysis, discussion and practical exercises. Delegates will be asked to bring examples of ongoing or historical situations with them.
The learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this training course delegates will be able to :-

- Recognise assertive, passive and aggressive behaviour.
- Know their personal rights and responsibilities and that of others
- Have evaluated and understood some of their interactions; good and bad
- Make choices about how they behave and appreciate the consequences

- Appreciate the impact that beliefs and values have on behave
- Practice active listening, clever questioning and building rapport
- Utilise a simple, yet effective, assertiveness process to gain excellent results
- Identify and plan how to implement the new skills
